«7UP Music Light Discoteque» is not just an album: it's a fusion of the '80s and the modern era, an avant-garde bet never attempted before. The chosen collaborations are atypical for the hard techno scene, precisely because the project wants to push past the boundaries of the genre.
Cobra87 brings his unique vision to the record: for him synthwave is a territory to build more complete, intricate compositions than other electronic styles allow. With a background in progressive rock and video-game soundtracks, he finds in synthwave the ideal space to let his skills as a guitarist and keyboardist shine. The genre's bond with cinema and '80s nostalgia feeds his imagination.
Russell Nash, a retrowave and synthwave artist from the Scottish Highlands, brings the aesthetic excess of the '80s. His debut EP «The Vault» (2022) gathers earlier productions, carefully remastered. His obsessive attention to sound design turns every track into a time trip into the heart of the decade.
BUOS, a Colombian artist, adds a cinematic, futuristic dimension. His music blends '80s nostalgia and modern electronic production, built on lush synths, bright melodies and pulsing basslines. Each track is a neon landscape, between dreaming cities, moving nights and cosmic visions.
U.F.O 1982, aka Janis Monja, represents the South American scene. A Peruvian artist, she fuses '80s pop culture, cinema, sci-fi, video games and soundtracks. She has collaborated with artists from Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Spain and England, taking part in international compilations like «Wonderlands» and «Global Cyber Day».
Dominus Lux, a Californian producer, brings nostalgic '80s-inspired atmospheres with a personal, modern touch. Specialised in analog synths and evocative melodies, he creates nocturnal landscapes and neon-lit cities. His debut «Into The Great Starlight» (2022) already earned strong support in the synthwave scene.
DJ Kociss, aka Francesco Giacomelli, is the living memory of the 7UP. A DJ since 1975, raised between rock and funk, he has crossed decades of music while avoiding the commercial. The 7UP's historic resident, his presence on the album is unique: it's the only track he has ever produced. He left his mark in clubs like Muretto, Hyppopothamus, M2, Aenea's Landing and Lola Lola.
The first version of the album came out on 3 August 2025, a symbolic date: on 3 August 1985 the 7UP exploded. But the race against time had left some tracks raw. This new version not only improves every track, it adds two new ones — including a collaboration with an artist tied to that same Formia club.
This album is more than a record: it's a journey through time and sound. To tell the story of the legendary 7UP in Gianola, Mestizia CRK chose to fuse the power of hard techno with the vibrations of the '80s. Between vintage synths, modern kickbass and the presence of a historic resident, every collaboration becomes a bridge between past and present.
